Water is the softest thing there is, and steel is about the hardest. Confluence is where the two meet: three panels carrying one current across the wall, the way rivers come together and keep moving.

Every layer is steel. The back frame is left raw and rusted, while the wave layers are polished and finished in automotive candy paint in pink, teal, purple, and blue, so the color glows like light moving through water. The hex bolts holding it all together stay visible. The construction is never hidden; it's part of the piece.

Made to hang. Meant to be kept.

  • Set of 3 panels, each about 20" H × 5" W × 1" D, just under 2 lbs each
  • All steel: a rusted steel frame with polished steel layers in automotive candy paint, joined with hex bolts
  • Each panel has a cutout on the back with a slot in each direction, so it hangs on a single nail or screw, vertically or horizontally
  • Signed and dated on the back by Amber Klinsky, 2026
  • One of a kind. Hand-finished color and rust mean no two pieces are alike.
  • Made by hand at the Refinerii studio in Southeast Texas
